Queen Mary and Russian Scorpion
at first i didn't think this was going to turn out very well. it was a very flat overcast day and there was a lot of drawing involved, but i didn't give up. i kept looking where the most obvious areas needing fixing were and by using the most direct tool...eventually it worked out.
a Little Something Different
not the greatest composition but the light effect turned out ok
More Value
another quick value study!
Isaac Levitan

there is good and then there is good. Levitan's work isn't flashy, just truthful and honest. years ago there was a show of famous Russian paintings at LACMA. Levitan's painting's were more like windows with frames around them. it was like you were standing in front of the actual scene. i would start to walk away to look at another painting and have to come back, his pieces were that amazing.
2 Quick Value Studies

these were done very quickly, 30-45 minutes.
Digital Ink Process
here's a quick break down, sketch, rough and finish. one brush, a squashed round with shape dynamics turned on. lots of erasing and control Z!
Digital Ink
trying something a little different here, it's all "inked" in photoshop.
