Spainish Architecture
i thought i might have attempted a little too much with this. halfway thru i got that,"oh no, it's getting away from me" feel but i made some paths for the arches and cleaned them up and then approached the building on the right section by section and it all turned out well in the end. all from life, no photos. i say that because even people who stop by to see what i'm doing ask, "did you start with a photo?"

I appreciate the fact that even your digital stuff if from life.
Nice one. Been following your work for a while. Have you ever posted information on your digital plein air setup/equipment? I'd love to know how you're able to paint in these light-filled settings without glare from your monitor. Do you use an umbrella or something? Do you use a tablet pc or a normal wacom? Thanks so much, keep up the great work.
yea, back in the beginning i show the black foam core box i built.

Great work, Robh! Is this one 45min?
no, more like 80 minutes
Nice. The warmth of the arches vs. the cool of the light on the grass makes me wonder: does light actually saturate/warmify like that when it is reflected, such as in the arches? Interesting observation I'm going to be looking keeping an eye out for. Later.
yea, the reflected light really is that warm in the arches. it was bouncing of tile.
really nice graphic shapes a real beauty! -James
